Closing of activities for the 2023-2024 academic year at Complexe Scolaire Calasanz de Malibé I (Gabon).

On Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Complexe Scolaire Calasanz in Malibé 1 (Gabon), the activities of the 2023-2024 academic year for pre-primary and primary schools came to a close. The day began with a closing mass, followed by the presentation of diplomas to the best pupil in each class and congratulatory parchments to teachers, and a family meal. Students, teachers and families parted with great joy and enthusiasm.

We look forward to seeing you from June 30 to July 21 for the seventh edition of the 2024 summer camp under the theme ”ma place avec calasanz pour la préservation de l’écosystème”.

 

Children from Saint Michel Nursery School in Ndang Bamendjou sent on holiday

Like those of COSCABIC Bafia, the children of Saint Michel Nursery School in Ndang Bamendjou (West Cameroon) were sent on vacation yesterday, May 29, 2024.
It all began with a prayer, followed by other activities o: dances, songs, poems, prize-giving and a meal to round off the day. The children presented a newspaper summarizing their school year and many other activities. From now on, the kindergarten children of the pies de bamendjou schools are on vacation. See you next year for a new school year full of great things.

Sending primary school children (Class VI and CM2) from COSCABIC Bafia on holiday

Today, May 30, 2024, marks the vacation departure date for primary school children from COSCABIC Bafia. The program included an opening prayer, the playing of the national anthem, a word from the director, the entrance of the graduating class (Class VI and CM2), speeches by the pupils, the newspaper, stories, songs, dances, the presentation of certificates to the graduates, the final prayer, the presentation of togas and a small sharing with the children. The ceremony was also attended by the children’s parents, with whom we had a great time.  Now it’s off to a three-month vacation.

 

COSCABIC Bafia kindergarten children go on holiday

This May 29, 2024 marks the end of the school year for kindergarten children at COSCABIC Bafia. It all began with a mass celebrated by Father Brice Kamga, assisted by Father Ferdinand. During the homily, the children responded to Father Ferdinand’s question: “What do you have to do to be a friend of Christ when He says let the little children come to me? Don’t insult, share, be obedient, don’t cheat – these were the children’s answers. In conclusion, Father entrusted the children to the Lord, for without Him nothing is possible, not even their education. After mass, the other activities o followed: dances, songs, poems, prize-giving and a meal to round off the day. The COSCABIC Bafia kindergarten children are now on vacation. See you next year for a new year full of surprises and adventures

School garden in Bamendjou’s magpie schools

Today, Friday May 17, 2024, as part of the “school garden” activity, the children of the Bamendjou Pies schools took a tour of their vegetable garden on the Bawam (Bamendjou) side to weed the farm and enable our plants to grow better. Supervised by Father Daniel and the school’s teachers, the children did their best to control plant growth and pull back weeds. It was an edifying experience for all concerned.

Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion for CABAC Messamendongo students, coupled with the Mass of Thanksgiving of Reverend Fathers Tertullien and Ferdinand

Last Sunday, May 5, 2024, the Complexe Calasanz Bilingue Calasanz in Messamendongo hosted the thanksgiving mass of Reverend Fathers Tertullien and Ferdinand, and the sacrament of Baptism and First Communion for the school’s students. Before the mass, the fathers gave the sacraments of confession and reconciliation to the former baptized, followed by the mass. It was a beautiful mass, both for the fathers and the children who took the sacrament.

Debate on the theme of juvenile delinquency at Calasanz College in Akonibé

Hello and a good start to the weekend from Collège Calasanz in Akonibé (Equatorial Guinea), where the debate on juvenile delinquency took place today, April 26, 2024. This exchange of ideas was led by students from 2 and 3 Esba. For a good two hours, these young people confronted ideas and points of view on this topical subject in a world manipulated by technology and a high level of unconsciousness on the part of young people. It was a nice moment of learning and relaxation away from the pressure of classroom benches.

Practical mock exam for Tle ESF students at CTC Bandjoun.

Yesterday, April 18, 2024, Collège Technique Saint Joseph Calasanz in Bandjoun hosted the mock practical exam for ESF Terminale students. This is the last step before the actual exam. Our students were put in the real conditions of the official exam. It was an opportunity for them to face the jury, made up of teachers from the college, as it was the practice zero exam coming from the region. While we hope they’ll be ready for the end-of-year exams, we wish these young people much courage.

Opening of a new computer room in Akonibe donated

The young people of Akonibé (Equatorial Guinea) have been graced with the opening of a new computer room. Several laptops, complete with accessories, can be found here. This was done to give the young students the opportunity to combine theory and practice when it comes to computer courses. The project saw the light of day on April 12, 2024, with an official opening by the college’s students.

 

Easter recollection at COSCABIC Bafia

The Easter recollection for COSCABIC BAFIA teachers took place yesterday, with this recommendation from the school’s pastoral coordinator: let’s not be traitors to others in our families, our places of service and in society. During this day of meditation and communion with the Lord, several activities were carried out, including the Stations of the Cross, confessions and mass. It was a great moment of recollection, before the rites of Holy Week begin today, March 28 (Holy Thursday).
