Look, Sukal, Jiwa, Marine and Bla belong to the Itaka-Escolapios Crew. Led by Calasanz, they will sail the seas from now on to present us the projects from our solidarity network.<\/p>\n

You, boys and girls from the Calasanz Movement, are part of the Itaka-Escolapios Crew. For this reason, we want to invite you to build a giant paper boat in which people from your group can fit. Look for big cardboards or brown paper and stick them together with glue or tape (you have to make sure that the measurements allow building a paper boat).<\/p>\n

Write a prayer on the giant paper in which we thank God and express our wish to help with our mission in Atambua. Look for information about Indonesia, pieces of news, photos and stick them over the brown paper or cardboards. Then, you have to fold the paper to build a paper boat that will enable you to travel the seas to GET CLOSE TO ATAMBUA.<\/p>\n

We would also want to encourage you to take a photo of your crew of sailors in your \u201cItaka-Escolapios\u201d vessel and share it with us by sending a copy to solidarity@itakaescolapios.org<\/a><\/p>\n

THE TEBE DANCE COMPETITION<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you know how to dance? Do you dance with your family and friends during special celebrations? Which is your region\u2019s traditional dance? The aurresku, the bikutsi, the bafut, the cueca, the diablada, the tinku, the jota o the sevillanas?<\/p>\n

In Atambua, the town in which the Piarist Order is going to build the Asrama, boys and girls dance the TEBE. It\u2019s a traditional dance from Timor, the island in which Atambua is located.<\/p>\n

For this activity, the Itaka-Escolapios Crew suggests that you participate in the 1st<\/sup> International Tebe Dance Competition. Below you will find two links for two different videos showing the dance. One of them is performed by the boys and girls who assist to the Itaka-Escolapios\u2019 non-formal education activities in Atambua, the other by a group from Indonesia.<\/p>\n

Learn and rehearse the choreography with the other children from your group and send us a link to the video if you upload it to an online platform, or the video with which you will participate in the competition.<\/p>\n
