The canteen of the School of Anzaldo was set up in 1995. It was noticed that a lot of children used to attend school on an empty stomach. This made them feel weak and even faint, and they were definitely not able to get the most from their classes.
After analyzing the students’ nutritional situation, several cases of avitaminosis and malnutrition were verified. Consequently, the project of the canteen was boosted, aimed at providing with three meals not only the boarders (whose breakfast, lunch and dinner were already guaranteed) but all students who attend the school and live in nearby villages.
